Contraction Timer
Record contraction durations and intervals.
If your contractions arrive every 5 minutes, each lasting at least 1 minute (60 seconds), consistently for 1 hour, or if your waters break or you experience bleeding, proceed to your maternity hospital immediately.
Understanding Your Results: Clinical Guide
The timer records the duration and interval of contractions you enter. It is a note-taking aid and cannot determine whether labour has started or whether you need care.
How to Use This Calculator
Start and stop the timer as directed by the tool.
Use the recorded times as notes when speaking with your maternity team.
Follow your own care team’s instructions about when to contact them or go to hospital.
Do not wait for a timer result if you feel you need urgent help. For an emergency, go to the nearest hospital emergency or casualty department.
Clinical Advisory & Diagnostic Confirmation
All calculations provided by this tool are based on established clinical benchmarks (such as Naegele’s rule and standard luteal phase intervals). Individual physiological variations, cycle irregularities, and ultrasound biometry will provide the most definitive clinical assessment.
For comprehensive evaluation, schedule an appointment with Dr. Berkheez Shabir at Bachan IVF Centre (Morning, Lal Chowk) or Apollo Clinic (Afternoon, Karan Nagar).
